The fight occurred on Sunday, Jan. 14, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police, when a scuffle broke out at approximately 2 a.m. outside of the La Catrina Bar and Lounge in the 4900 block of Cordell Avenue.

Ten minutes later, as one of the victims was leaving the business, he was struck by an unknown suspect, causing him to fall to the ground, police said. While on the ground, a second suspect joined, and both suspects began to strike the victim, they added.

When he attempted to get to a safe location, the victim then noticed a stab wound to his side.

A second victim saw a group of individuals fighting and attempted to intervene when he was stabbed in the back, police said.

One suspect is believed to be responsible for both stabbings, they said.

Detectives released surveillance video and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
